Fox shark

The common thresher shark is notable for its disproportionately long upper caudal fin - almost as long as the rest of its body - which it uses to stun its prey. Pelagic and migratory, it frequents the open waters of temperate and tropical oceans. In the Red Sea, particularly off the Egyptian coasts, night dives and offshore drifts can lead to encounters with these rare and mythical sharks. An experience that only a few operators in the world, including DUNE, can offer.
