Mobula ray

The giant manta is one of the most spectacular species of the Mediterranean and tropical oceans. Known for its jumps out of the water (sometimes in groups of several dozen), it can reach a wingspan of 5 meters. A filter-feeding species of plankton like the manta, it is distinguished by its shorter cephalic horns. In the Mediterranean, spring gatherings of mobula in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea are natural spectacles that DUNE includes in its special programs.
