Blue octopus

The blue-ringed octopus is one of the most toxic marine animals in the world: its venom, tetrodotoxin, can kill a human in less than 30 minutes. Despite its tiny size (less than 15 cm), its iridescent blue rings that pulse rapidly when threatened make it one of the most fascinating animals of the Indo-Pacific reefs.
