The sperm whale is the largest toothed predator in the world and one of the most mysterious animals of the ocean. It can dive up to 3,000 meters to hunt giant squids in total darkness, holding its breath for over an hour. Its massive skull contains the spermaceti organ, which plays a role in echolocation and possibly in male combat. In the Banda Sea and some areas of the Mediterranean Sea, DUNE offers snorkeling observations of sperm whales during special stays — an unforgettable life experience.
