Lionfish

The scorpionfish — or lionfish — is one of the most beautiful and dangerous animals of tropical reefs. Its fan-like pectoral fins striped in red, black, and white serve both as a warning and a trap: they hide venomous spines. Despite its beauty, the scorpionfish is a formidable predator that sucks in its prey in an instant.
