The Chrisoula K, also nicknamed "the tile wreck", is a Greek cargo ship that has been wrecked since 1981 on the Abu Nuhas reef. Its nickname comes from the thousands of Italian ceramic tiles that the ship was carrying, still visible in its holds. The wreck is accessible from 5 meters depth, with the bow almost breaking the surface. The exceptional visibility of the Red Sea allows you to admire the entire structure from the bottom. It is a very popular site, ideal for divers of all levels.
The MV Chrisoula K was a Greek cargo ship that was transporting a cargo of Italian ceramic tiles destined for Jeddah. On August 31, 1981, in difficult weather conditions, the captain took an incorrect heading and violently struck the Sha'ab Abu Nuhas reef. The impact was so violent that the ship's bow was torn open. The entire crew was fortunately rescued. The ceramic tiles, now scattered throughout the holds and on the seabed, constitute a unique curiosity among Red Sea wrecks.
