Blacktip Reef Shark

The reef shark at Punta Nera is one of the most frequently encountered sharks in the shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific reefs. Its dorsal fin marked by a large black spot and its agile movements in clear, shallow waters make it one of the most photographed sharks in the world. Present in the Maldives, Indonesia, and Polynesia, it often hunts in schools in current areas. DUNE selects its moorings to maximize these spectacular encounters.
