Nurse Shark

The brown nurse shark is one of the most appreciated sharks by divers: harmless, slow, and sleepy during the day, it allows close approaches to just a few centimeters. It is often found grouped in 5 to 10 individuals in the caves and coral overhangs of the Maldives and Pacific atolls. Its pelvic fins allow it to crawl on the bottom, making it even stranger. During night dives, nurse sharks come out to hunt for octopuses and fish — DUNE organizes these night outings in the Maldives and Raja Ampat.
