Lagenorhynchus acutus

The blue-white dolphin is the most abundant cetacean in the Mediterranean and one of the fastest — capable of sprinting at 60 km/h. Its white side striped with a distinctive blue band makes it immediately recognizable. It forms sometimes very large groups (hundreds of individuals) and willingly accompanies boats, surfing on the bow. During boat crossings from Marseille or La Londe, encounters with blue-white dolphins are frequent and always spectacular with DUNE.
