Pygmy seahorse

The Bargibant's pygmy seahorse is the smallest seahorse in the world, measuring no more than 2 centimeters. Its camouflage is so perfect on the gorgonians Muricella that it was discovered by chance in 1969 during a laboratory analysis of a gorgonian sample. It comes in two color variants depending on the gorgonian it lives on: pink-reddish or yellow. In Bali, Raja Ampat, and Komodo, DUNE's macro dives with expert guides allow divers to locate these little jewels on their gorgonian hosts.
