Spotted Seahorse

The spotted seahorse, with its elongated snout and prehensile tail, is one of the most touching creatures of the Mediterranean. It is the male that carries the eggs and gives birth to the young — a unique feature in the animal world. It can be found in seagrass meadows and kelp beds, moving slowly thanks to its dorsal fin. DUNE's night dives in Menorca and Malta are particularly favorable for discovering it.
