Cleaner Shrimp

The cleaner shrimp is one of the most perfect examples of symbiosis in the ocean. Perched on corals or sponges, it waves its long white antennae to signal its presence to client fish that come to have their parasites, dead cells, and food residues cleaned. Even predators - groupers, morays - enter a trance of cooperation and allow the small shrimp to rummage through their gills.
